 <section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id4b915573-9b27-4865-9883-48f18da727b0" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Crooked River Ranch Fire Protection Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="id01800e4434c54896ba77a4d1abc494a6"><enum>2.</enum><header>Boundary adjustment, Deschutes Canyon-Steelhead Falls Wilderness Study Area boundary adjustment, Oregon</header> <subsection id="id42a2781d83da49d2807ec1e0345e6933"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Boundary adjustment</header><text>The boundary of the Deschutes Canyon-Steelhead Falls Wilderness Study Area is modified to exclude approximately 688 acres of public land, as depicted on the map entitled <quote>Deschutes Canyon-Steelhead Falls Wilderness Study Area (WSA) Proposed Boundary Adjustment</quote> and dated September 26, 2018.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="id3d23f84257ec4e5c933e195fd5a339fd"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effect of exclusion</header>
 <paragraph id="id756F3D10962B4D1FB5DCEE546FBECADD"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The public land excluded from the Deschutes Canyon-Steelhead Falls Wilderness Study Area under subsection (a)—</text>
 <subparagraph id="id3fe49aaf5f044f3794292f395eb1ddcf"><enum>(A)</enum><text>is no longer subject to section 603(c) of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/43/1782">43 U.S.C. 1782(c)</external-xref>); and</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="ide51b049062ed4a8a837834522043abc0"><enum>(B)</enum><text>shall be managed in accordance with—</text> <clause id="id1385D7E5E9DB48839296BE009C00298D"><enum>(i)</enum><text>this section;</text>
 </clause><clause id="id162DB64B0F8A46D5B4BFF86502EA4726"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/43/1701">43 U.S.C. 1701</external-xref> et seq.); and</text> </clause><clause id="id8B819C75F31B4F25B9A9EC985694E2AF"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>any applicable resource management plan.</text>
 </clause></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="id240e49af7d144f6483f70e81dab8ef4a"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Management</header><text>The Secretary of the Interior shall manage the land excluded from the Deschutes Canyon-Steelhead Falls Wilderness Study Area under subsection (a) to improve fire resiliency and forest health, including the conduct of wildfire prevention and response activities, as appropriate.</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="ida6b9e91091d44cb8b301d33abfe8b9e1"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Off-road recreational motorized use</header><text>The Secretary of the Interior shall not permit off-road recreational motorized use on the public land excluded from the Deschutes Canyon-Steelhead Falls Wilderness Study Area under subsection (a).</text></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
