			 Gallatin National Forest, Park County, Montana, from the mining and
			 mineral leasing laws of the United States, and for other purposes.</official-title></form>
	<legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause">
 <section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Yellowstone Gateway Protection Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="idd1df1326788141a883fd0d79e998ebfe"><enum>2.</enum><header>Withdrawal</header>
 <subsection id="id04935eb0826c4f05a094625457d05eea"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Definition of map</header><text>In this section, the term <term>map</term> means the map entitled <quote>Emigrant Crevice Proposed Withdrawal Area</quote> and dated November 10, 2016.</text> </subsection><subsection id="id57F2997B0A904FFF8DFEFB6B77A67C76"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Withdrawal</header><text>Subject to valid existing rights in existence on the date of enactment of this Act, the National Forest System land and interests in the National Forest System land, as depicted on the map, is withdrawn from—</text>
 <paragraph id="idf23a61e4fed441d6a8cb04bb69bd4e7e"><enum>(1)</enum><text>location, entry, and patent under the mining laws; and</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="idb0694c49d5264fceb0b231bd1415e08d"><enum>(2)</enum><text>disposition under all laws pertaining to mineral and geothermal leasing.</text>
 </paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id5e43cc87629048a7973fe6a258a04cc8"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Acquired land</header><text>Any land or interest in land within the area depicted on the map that is acquired by the United States after the date of enactment of this Act shall, on acquisition, be immediately withdrawn in accordance with this section.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="iddb6358074ef44e7fbef1718b5488f1ff"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Map</header>
 <paragraph id="id8f5c4863b200484f8bbb02b4e61df976"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Submission of map</header><text>As soon as practicable after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Agriculture shall file the map with—</text>
 <subparagraph id="id0c3cf2b5d9f84a04b0c476383dfb826b"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate; and</text> </subparagraph><subparagraph id="idf8bbda2256b0474282369f4cb8a2378a"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the Committee on Natural Resources of the House of Representatives.</text>
 </subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="idc5829c3871454e029680d2a8c68f11d9"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Force of law</header><text>The map filed under paragraph (1) shall have the same force and effect as if included in this Act, except that the Secretary of Agriculture may correct clerical and typographical errors in the map.</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="id1abb81c3795c4870bd9134cb289737c1"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Public availability</header><text>The map filed under paragraph (1) shall be on file and available for public inspection in the appropriate offices of the Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management.</text>
 </paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id485c1c5793cd4b2f865b3aa8d492c795"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Effect</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Nothing in this section affects any recreational use, including hunting or fishing, that is authorized on land within the area depicted on the map under applicable law as of the date of enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
