			 Monument located on Federal land in Presidential Park in the District of
			 Columbia, and for other purposes.</official-title></form>
	<legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" id="H14A0610769D5423496B49AFD72CA08CA" style="OLC">
 <section id="idFE03F39F156A418C802F5B139442A338" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>First Infantry Recognition of Sacrifice in Theater Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>FIRST Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H288952D621FC4131977BF6876FD40CFA"><enum>2.</enum><header>Modification to First Division Monument</header> <subsection id="H98C73C3A21DB4A20B748C9C518EDD6BF"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Authorization</header> <paragraph id="id17FD2068794E4B5490942DC80CF3CB6E"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The Society of the First Infantry Division, an organization described in <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/501">section 501(c)(3)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and exempt from taxation under section 501(a) of that Code, may make modifications, including construction of additional plaques and stone plinths on which to put plaques, to the First Division Monument located on Federal land in Presidential Park in the District of Columbia that was set aside for memorial purposes of the First Infantry Division, to honor the members of the First Infantry Division who made the ultimate sacrifice during United States operations, including Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn, and Operation Enduring Freedom.</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="idD99799DD183C4A90A9BEEA9BCC9A1B0D"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Collaboration</header><text>The First Infantry Division at the Department of the Army shall collaborate with the Department of Defense to provide to the Society of the First Infantry Division the list of names to be added to the First Division Monument under paragraph (1).</text>
 </paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HF34CDCD1CBFC4A89BDDF7C9F1F755D6B"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Nonapplicability of Commemorative Works Act</header><text>Subsections (b) and (c) of section 8903 of title 40, United States Code (commonly known as the <quote>Commemorative Works Act</quote>), shall not apply to any activity carried out pursuant to subsection (a).</text> </subsection><subsection id="H9CA4E8E4B81B44019E7F3A6FF2809FD1"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Funding</header><text>Federal funds may not be used to pay any expense of the activities of the Society of the First Infantry Division authorized by this section.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
