			 provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned</action-desc></action><legis-type>RESOLUTION</legis-type><official-title display="yes">Protecting the health care of all Americans, especially those with preexisting conditions.</official-title></form>
	<resolution-body id="H97457889274A4042AC7047AA37163377" style="traditional">
 <section display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="H7412CF6F059B4CA989DAD6912FA0F99E" section-type="undesignated-section"><enum></enum><text>That it is the sense of the House of Representatives that—</text> <paragraph id="HF1F1AFCB37114E0685D7FF78CAAD7F50"><enum>(1)</enum><text>no American should have their health insurance taken away or lose protections for preexisting conditions due to the Democrats in Congress enacting an unconstitutional law; and</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H98A65CBEE7B54561A130B7A5C161AB2E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>if the Supreme Court of the United States decides all or part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is unconstitutional in Texas v. United States—</text>
 <subparagraph id="H01EB0C7986C9469E84D43F6E4F9A2810"><enum>(A)</enum><text><italic></italic> Congress and the Trump Administration should immediately ask the Court for a stay in the decision;</text> </subparagraph><subparagraph id="HA351481B3D344BB38344BE7ACC481D38"><enum>(B)</enum><text>Congress and the Trump Administration should act together to ensure Americans are not adversely impacted by the decision; and</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="H7506B34CA0E14634B399265BD75623CF"><enum>(C)</enum><text>Congress should enact bipartisan legislation to replace the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that is constitutional and that—</text>
 <clause id="HF4E46D30FF414C03A72F2F9CA69A29DF"><enum>(i)</enum><text>guarantees no American citizen can be denied health insurance coverage or charged more as the result of a previous illness or health status;</text>
 </clause><clause id="H0466800CEB6D4069829145B6F368DFF1"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>includes commonsense consumer protections;</text> </clause><clause id="H36D8A33AAE8249358D4F6CD2CAEDC4B8"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>reverses the damage of the policies that have doubled the cost of health insurance and reduced access and choice for millions of Americans;</text>
 </clause><clause id="H4DC5FA8E37E74A02BECD5D14ED91EC26"><enum>(iv)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">provides more choices and affordable coverage options than the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act;</text>
 </clause><clause id="HAE4B7D63E9A5491187489F6C37FDA5B2"><enum>(v)</enum><text>lowers prescription drug prices for patients;</text> </clause><clause id="H284AD54CE04643569836682AA0376103"><enum>(vi)</enum><text>strengthens the Medicare program for current and future beneficiaries, including by protecting the coverage of more than 20 million seniors enrolled under Medicare Advantage plans; and</text>
 </clause><clause id="H2E0FB2271F2749E9A887F858D3957A5B"><enum>(vii)</enum><text>protects job-based health coverage by rejecting the Democrats’ radical one-size-fits-all government run health care scheme that would outlaw the coverage more than 150 million Americans currently get through work.</text>
