 <section id="HA248C6BAD87B49498C3D83DE5C8A2A91" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Safe Cribs Act of 2019</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H0B5EAED9C91B49258A63B7CCF6754213"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on sale of crib bumpers</header> <subsection id="H8E0EE00AB8024579A863E92BF9F8EA4C"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Prohibition on the sale of crib bumpers</header><text>Beginning on the date that is 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act, it shall be unlawful for any person to manufacture for sale, offer for sale, distribute in commerce, or import into the United States any crib bumper.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="HF5EC9684EF7F48B58D94B4B32EC63544"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Treatment of violation</header><text>A violation of subsection (a) shall be treated as a violation of section 19(a)(1) of the Consumer Product Safety Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/2068">15 U.S.C. 2068(a)(1)</external-xref>).</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="H01E761A62FE84BDBBB581BECD5D85776"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Crib bumper defined</header><text>In this section, the term <term>crib bumper</term>—</text> <paragraph id="HE7DF6C7F7D924345BBAB0971FE335096"><enum>(1)</enum><text>means any material that is intended to cover the sides of a crib to prevent injury to any crib occupant from impacts against the side of a crib or to prevent partial or complete access to any openings in the sides of a crib to prevent a crib occupant from getting any part of the body entrapped in any opening;</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H7DBD340091944E4A8DEA5D1F593D91B1"><enum>(2)</enum><text>includes a padded crib bumper, a supported and unsupported vinyl bumper guard, and vertical crib slat covers; and</text>
