			 Data Exchange database when conducting criminal background checks.</official-title></form>
	<legis-body id="H68C67DC0A9CF4097B768FEF7140F5964" style="OLC">
 <section id="H0311D61094B64F04BA3B020E7DD4DEED" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>21st Century NICS Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H4C4D7E18CCFB4BE1BB4888FED7BEE08C"><enum>2.</enum><header>Requirement that the NICS system search the National Data Exchange database in conducting background checks</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 103(e)(1) of the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/40901">34 U.S.C. 40901(e)(1)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>
