			 savings associations may invest in small business investment companies,
			 subject to the approval of the appropriate Federal banking agency, and for
			 other purposes.</official-title></form>

 <section id="HDDF45CFC856E41C98FB8EAEAC9D531A5" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Investing in Main Street Act of 2019</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H34388FF74E4E44C09B06BFBA248D8666"><enum>2.</enum><header>Investment in small business investment companies</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 302(b) of the Small Business Investment Act of 1958 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/682">15 U.S.C. 682(b)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="H8E2984D003DA49F5985A7C3195930C2E"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1), by inserting before the period the following: <quote>or, subject to the approval of the appropriate Federal banking agency, 15 percent of such capital and surplus</quote>;</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H3F0DB2A8FA8048D0ABBBDAB6BF3A9C5E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by inserting before the period the following: <quote>or, subject to the approval of the appropriate Federal banking agency, 15 percent of such capital and surplus</quote>; and</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="HF635BA941CED406EB16F57BB8FE0E118"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text> <quoted-block id="H6321C41FAA6442D4AF2B673CB7F10A51" style="OLC"> <paragraph id="H580B1A7D1B004BE5811D31DF30767067"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Appropriate federal banking agency defined</header><text>For purposes of this subsection, the term <term>appropriate Federal banking agency</term> has the meaning given that term under section 3 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
