 State of Texas. </official-title></form><legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" id="HDF22AE1DC0D9408992C2754E2858F2BC" style="OLC"><section id="H323DEC4C3FAC44C98EE16FAA5E713530" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Lake Fannin Conveyance Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="HBAACF1F18909423C9725C244489302DF"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text><paragraph id="H1EC7B4A10E7E4842A5EF37879D1313EE"><enum>(1)</enum><header>County</header><text>The term <term>County</term> means the Fannin County, Texas.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H4C3FE1FCA7E74FD49048121B269C1272"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Map</header><text>The term <term>map</term> means the map entitled <quote>Lake Fannin Conveyance</quote> and dated November 21, 2013.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id362F196E49FC4CFC819AC1CAAACB60C6"><enum>(3)</enum><header>National Forest System land</header><text>The term <term>National Forest System land</term> means the approximately 2,025 acres of National Forest System land generally depicted on the map.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H61AF9B40860A4315A21E03677CD74244"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The term <term>Secretary</term> means the Secretary of Agriculture, acting through the Chief of the Forest Service.</text></paragraph></section><section id="H5A5315C0BD1F413AB741826192615FCD"><enum>3.</enum><header>Conveyance of land and improvements</header><subsection id="H18D12A4D53504B4C9E2281CD6B6B96C5"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Subject to the requirements of this section, if the County submits to the Secretary a written request for conveyance of the National Forest System land not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall convey to the County all right, title, and interest of the United States in and to the National Forest System land.</text></subsection><subsection id="H28E3FDC8E0D84208B8BE7D413B4527A5"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Map</header><paragraph id="H1EC098F619134B93AE7ADC056BEAA13F"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Availability of map</header><text>The map shall be kept on file and available for public inspection in the appropriate office of the Forest Service.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H4E8CDA3D3CA34574BD7AFF247BCC2E92"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Correction of errors</header><text>The Secretary may correct minor errors in the map.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H82E13AFF2DF741CEA497D04F28F11AC5"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Terms and conditions</header><text>The conveyance under subsection (a) shall be—</text><paragraph id="H75B2082BB530479D8CF8BF4E7AF1C608"><enum>(1)</enum><text>subject to valid existing rights;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H4B8AB6FB26E349E39B1E13E067881A69"><enum>(2)</enum><text>made without consideration;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H5219AADAF7864B81AF89A09FEA14A26A"><enum>(3)</enum><text>made by quitclaim deed; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HF6EB778C770E45D48D5BEB9C65B39BE1"><enum>(4)</enum><text>subject to any other terms and conditions the Secretary determines appropriate to protect the interests of the United States.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id028f2c27ca6e4a93a3ffb2a572fbe583"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Use</header><text>As a condition of the conveyance under subsection (a), the County shall agree to manage the land conveyed under that subsection for a public purpose.</text></subsection><subsection id="H41834D9AF8EE40AF86BAA42D5FE591A1"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Costs</header><text>As a condition of the conveyance under subsection (a), the County shall pay for all costs associated with the conveyance, including the costs of—</text><paragraph id="HAFCF18FDABA04BC1ABC07D12AD1BE671"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the survey required under subsection (f); and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HEA3622C613CF4D339C332B1A08EB6D2B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>any environmental analysis and resource surveys required under Federal law.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HCA70D2726F5F48E9980453A99F6999A7"><enum>(f)</enum><header>Survey</header><paragraph id="H4CE69DED8C7140879326C5DEBA50F585"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The actual acreage and legal description of the National Forest System land to be conveyed under subsection (a) shall be determined by a survey satisfactory to the Secretary.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H4F33B2ABF89A437EAE028A047D1C6CC0"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Cadastral surveys</header><text>The Secretary may perform and approve any cadastral surveys required to be conducted as part of a survey under paragraph (1).</text></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
