 <section id="id1DFFE7C4FA1943E29239D936FA48D821" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Disaster Victims Passport and ID Relief Act of 2018</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="id341BA5ACCB7641788468E7586CEB4104" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Federal assistance to individuals and households and nonprofit facilities</header> <subsection id="idB5AD1212DE7D49339B3E6B4049CC4118"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Critical document fee waiver</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 408(e) of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/5174">42 U.S.C. 5174(e)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idD93CEDDD3DEA428A921F185E04DFFE91" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="idB6294BFD05E847CAA9A1CDDC7FE3D4B6"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Critical document fee waiver</header>
 <subparagraph id="idBF4D157CF74B48608B919BE42833DEE7"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Notwithstanding section 1 of the Passport Act of June 4, 1920 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/214">22 U.S.C. 214</external-xref>) or any other provision of law, the President, in consultation with the Governor of a State, may provide a waiver under this section to an individual or household described in paragraph (1) of the following document replacement fees:</text>
 <clause id="idE7DE3C3062C6426AADC9BC19E9BC633D"><enum>(i)</enum><text>The passport application fee for individuals who lost their United States passport.</text> </clause><clause id="id72887D026D1F4158893ECB188CE13728"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>The file search fee for a United States passport.</text>
 </clause><clause id="id7C3ACD11A0234AEB8CBB7E313863E9F0"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>The Application for Waiver of Passport and/or Visa form (Form I–193) fee.</text> </clause><clause id="id73ED650D8C364D76B2977435A7C71658"><enum>(iv)</enum><text>The Permanent Resident Card replacement form (Form I–90) filing fee.</text>
 </clause><clause id="idE66A3CAB17B2422391F09DD82249E840"><enum>(v)</enum><text>The Declaration of Intention form (Form N–300) filing fee.</text> </clause><clause id="idDFBC62DE4EC441D09972A6B2010D796D"><enum>(vi)</enum><text>The Naturalization/Citizenship Document replacement form (Form N–565) filing fee.</text>
 </clause><clause id="idCA091E05932B42239980E11C58317B17"><enum>(vii)</enum><text>The Employment Authorization form (Form I–765) filing fee.</text> </clause><clause id="id3BCAE1465E6D4237BDBFC8FD6FEE0469"><enum>(viii)</enum><text>The biometric service fee.</text>
 </clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id81343914EE7F421FB9F310771C8418E8"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Exemption from form requirement</header><text>The authority of the President to waive fees under clauses (iii) through (viii) of subparagraph (A) applies regardless of whether the individual or household qualifies for a Form I–912 Request for Fee Waiver, or any successor thereto.</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="id9BAD5B9CFD9B4B318F3011C814AB1841"><enum>(C)</enum><header>Exemption from assistance maximum</header><text>The assistance limit in subsection (h) shall not apply to any fee waived under this paragraph.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </subsection><subsection id="id9EECBAD2C19446E283D427EA04BAD3FE"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Federal assistance to private nonprofit childcare facilities</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 406(a)(3)(B) of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/5172">42 U.S.C. 5172(a)(3)(B)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting <quote>(including private nonprofit center-based childcare)</quote> after <quote>education</quote>.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
