			 likelihood of a threat of diversion of a controlled substance, and for
			 other purposes.</official-title></form>
	<legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause">
 <section id="id4BCE5C84ED3946AEB968E950A408F131" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Stopping Suspicious Orders of Opioids Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="S1" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Suspension of controlled substances registration</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 304 of the Controlled Substances Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/21/824">21 U.S.C. 824</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="id157160B7DAAA417CBA4303F0CDC0C02D"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (c)—</text> <subparagraph id="id3C114EAE947446DBA3332246292EB153"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by redesignating paragraphs (4) and (5) as paragraphs (5) and (6), respectively; and</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="id68BB7C4EE10545CE9199DC3551882E1C"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by inserting after paragraph (3) the following:</text> <quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id17700557677A48FE90141F4FCB40413D" style="OLC"> <paragraph id="idEAD88198A08A4E47ACAC90623926AE29" indent="up1"><enum>(4)</enum><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="idB70846828DE54C66B1D0B7D6BB539483"><enum>(A)</enum><text>If the Attorney General approves a corrective action plan submitted by an applicant or registrant under paragraph (2), the applicant or registrant shall fully implement the corrective action plan not later than 30 days after the date of approval.</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="id51949890868E45DE8A9AE3B641AF0CF7" indent="up1"><enum>(B)</enum><text>If the Attorney General does not approve a corrective action plan submitted by an applicant or registrant under paragraph (2), or the applicant or registrant fails to fully implement an approved corrective action plan by the deadline under subparagraph (A) of this paragraph, the Attorney General—</text>
 <clause id="id6F93C3A1C9DF4F16BA459E737C3519BA"><enum>(i)</enum><text>shall immediately reinstate the proceedings to deny, revoke, or suspend the registration of the applicant or registrant, if those proceedings have been discontinued or deferred; and</text>
 </clause><clause id="idDE03192BA33D43D885B7DE4CE9EB9659"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>in the case of a registrant, may immediately suspend the registration of the registrant, which suspension shall continue in effect until the conclusion of proceedings under this section, including judicial review thereof, unless sooner withdrawn by the Attorney General or dissolved by a court of competent jurisdiction.</text></clause></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
 </subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="id6436C69253AF47C9B0E3CAB4314961FC"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (d)(2)—</text> <subparagraph id="idCA54AC95D5D14B1F96FC0928520120D9"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>substantial likelihood of an immediate threat</quote> and inserting <quote>likelihood of a threat</quote>; and</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="id578251A3268E4A778CE06ED8E4E32B12"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by inserting <quote>diversion of a controlled substance,</quote> after <quote>serious bodily harm,</quote>.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
