			 the thresholds used by the Federal banking regulators, and for other
			 purposes.</official-title></form>

 <section id="H6D11C0325E7241139100DB633DDB6A8A" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>7(a) Real Estate Appraisal Harmonization Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H51842B38B3A141628986A4C3EBBD7F9B"><enum>2.</enum><header>Appraisal thresholds</header> <text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 7(a)(29) of the Small Business Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/636">15 U.S.C. 636(a)(29)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="H84462E7F18C04A0BACF2A428721A40E2"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by redesignating subparagraphs (A) and (B) as clauses (i) and (ii), respectively, and adjusting the margins of such clauses accordingly;</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H0F221BAB4AE64E3390BAF899F2CC444E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking <quote>With respect to</quote> and inserting the following:</text> <quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H362CE9D73E884F22A556BB8508D5F613" style="OLC"> <subparagraph id="HCB315FB373BE45A9AD8C5EFFD1B5AC60"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">With respect to</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>;</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="HF0F678FF1A8444EA8A6FCED49B763ED2"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in clause (i), as so redesignated, by striking <quote>for more than $250,000</quote> and inserting <quote>, if such loan is in an amount greater than the Federal banking regulator appraisal threshold</quote>;</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="HED98CEBC958E443B81EE0E5E04373440"><enum>(4)</enum><text>in clause (ii), as so redesignated, by striking <quote>for $250,000 or less</quote> and inserting <quote>, if such loan is in an amount equal to or less than the Federal banking regulator appraisal threshold</quote>; and</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="HA418FC44AEFB4142B00ABDA10F9AA0A2"><enum>(5)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text> <quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA81550F5BC534896B6BED60C286F532C" style="OLC"> <subparagraph id="HA94B15EE48364573BB47335BFBB8A970"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Federal banking regulator appraisal threshold defined</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For purposes of this paragraph, the term <quote>Federal banking regulator appraisal threshold</quote> means the lesser of the threshold amounts set by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for when a federally related transaction that is a commercial real estate transaction requires an appraisal prepared by a State licensed or certified appraiser.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
