			 travel log, and for other purposes.</official-title></form>
	<legis-body id="H7890CFDDEEF24763A4C009834547BC64" style="OLC">
 <section id="H211F51EF2142465983CF0BBFE5F3F569" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Formally List Your Travel Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>FLY Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H6F54C6E4E6CA4812AF00D80E5DCBA29F" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Requirement to submit monthly travel logs</header> <subsection id="HA9643EC893BB4B89A2C46667C857817E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Beginning October 1, 2018, on the first day of each month, an agency head shall submit to the Comptroller General of the United States a record of any official travel itinerary (referred to in this section as a <quote>travel log</quote>) of the agency head for the previous month.</text>
			</subsection><subsection commented="no" id="H8BEAEAA78B38469FAE375420BEE8F214"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Penalty</header>
 <paragraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="HD039C2F5D51C46BDA74FFAD72AB0A258"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Beginning with the fiscal quarter beginning on January 1, 2019, an agency head shall, out of funds appropriated specifically for the office of the agency head, pay to the general fund of the Treasury an amount equal to one percent of the annual budget of such office for each month during the previous quarter with respect to which the agency head has not submitted a travel log by the last day of such previous quarter.</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph commented="no" id="H776F7D101F9E449484028AADF4993505" indent="up1"><enum>(2)</enum><text>Beginning with fiscal year 2020, in the case of an agency head who has not submitted any travel log during the previous fiscal year, the annual budget for the office of such agency head for the fiscal year shall be reduced by 15 percent.</text>
 </paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HC2E9C0D5F4F344B38D758EF924DDC1D7"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Annual report</header><text>Not later than September 30 of each fiscal year, an agency head shall submit to the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate a report on the total amount of official travel expenses incurred by the agency head during such fiscal year.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="H5EA8D236296C4D2C8ACE859B407CE079"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Prohibition</header><text>Any agency head who holds a Senate-confirmed position may not purchase a first class seat on an airplane using Federal funds.</text>
 </subsection><subsection commented="no" id="H940F76F64F6F455E85C20BF6EE467011"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Agency defined</header><text>In this section, the term <quote>agency</quote> has the meaning given that term in section 551 of title 5, United States Code.</text> </subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
