			 subrecipients of grants under <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/49/53">chapter 53</external-xref> of title 49 of such Code, and for
			 other purposes.</official-title></form>
	<legis-body id="H4B7D5771FC50426A9BBB910CEC02F605" style="OLC">
 <section commented="no" id="HD6B8C21ADE2141E8BDFD6D2613FB6D4F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Transit Bus Procurement Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H5F60668731C04E6A85F2470DAD9F25AB"><enum>2.</enum><header>Purchasing authority</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 502 of title 40, United States Code, is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="H69660DA745CC476D8FF3432CDD82A13B"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by redesignating subsection (f) as subsection (g); and</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="H3DE7DCC70B0540499EF7493A7DAACCF7"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by inserting after subsection (e) the following new subsection:</text>

					<subsection id="H68D5F24FB50D4AD19172B60FE72C176F"><enum>(f)</enum><header>Use of supply schedules for the purchase of buses</header>
 <paragraph id="H0661BAB4482A4E73BEDDA9555D3EFD9B"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Administrator shall provide access to sources of supply for buses to recipients or subrecipients of Federal assistance under <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/49/53">chapter 53</external-xref> of title 49, United States Code, to obtain buses for use in public transportation.</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="HB58C3193C79A49DCA7E0E534EA11B617"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Department of Transportation</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of Transportation shall restrict access to sources of supply of the General Services Administration to obtain buses to recipients or subrecipients described in paragraph (1) in areas with a population of less than 200,000 and to recipients or subrecipients in areas with a population of 200,000 or more with 100 or fewer buses in fixed route service during peak service hours.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
