			 coverage in Indian country and on land held by a Native Corporation and to
			 complete a proceeding to address the unserved areas identified in the

 <section id="H99861A227D9F4C4F84E61930C2AE0E57" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Tribal Broadband Deployment Act of 2018</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section commented="no" id="H66D4788239594BD7BF94079F182A5C1E"><enum>2.</enum><header>Tribal digital access</header> <subsection id="H466B69ADA5AF47798790AF4A7DE679CE"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Tribal broadband data report</header> <paragraph id="H0FEE33AFE52D404DB8D8285651112141"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Commission shall submit to the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate a report evaluating broadband coverage in Indian country (as defined in section 1151 of title 18, United States Code) and on land held by a Native Corporation pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act.</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="HE932A978BAA04F758F68F666539AB66E"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Required assessments</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The report required by paragraph (1) shall include the following:</text> <subparagraph id="H72B00D4235A64B97946D77D1A216A549"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">An assessment of areas of Indian country (as so defined) and land held by a Native Corporation pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act that have adequate broadband coverage.</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="H5E1ADFDEF14644C69529D5F231083CC4"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">An assessment of unserved areas of Indian country (as so defined) and land held by a Native Corporation pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act.</text>
 </subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H40BDC732525648869BACD549932B2AFD"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Tribal broadband rulemaking</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 30 months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Commission shall complete a proceeding to address the unserved areas identified in the report under subsection (a).</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="H87A87A0DD59C42719EC3FD5E0EC4BD1D"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Commission defined</header><text>In this section, the term <quote>Commission</quote> means the Federal Communications Commission.</text> </subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
