 <section id="H8A5BBC68A7D7435793396DE80FF33AA9" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>REAL ID Act Modification for Freely Associated States Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H9173BF4247DF440F92D1EAF166951A6B"><enum>2.</enum><header>Amendment</header> <subsection id="H8B7D0B791D524783BBD28B2409C80D7E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Definition of State</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 201(5) of the Real ID Act of 2005 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/49/30301">49 U.S.C. 30301</external-xref> note; <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/109/13">Public Law 109–13</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands,</quote>.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="HE4B6A401AC82492BBF6F84026F46A104"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Evidence of lawful status</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 202(c)(2)(B) of the REAL ID Act of 2005 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/49/30301">49 U.S.C. 30301</external-xref> note; <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/109/13">Public Law 109–13</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="H155656EAD7E84EB09BEDBB9562E0194D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in clause (viii), by striking <quote>or</quote> at the end;</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="H91610D9479DA49CB8972882F5334414B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in clause (ix), by striking the period at the end and inserting <quote>; or</quote>; and</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H69F73EB2F62949419AE68F54DA62551C"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text> <quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H25E33FA1565540E782DD2E958581131D" style="OLC"> <clause id="HCABF1386FE4547E69BC89460A61B58D9"><enum>(x)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">is a citizen of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, or the Republic of Palau who has been admitted to the United States as a nonimmigrant pursuant to a Compact of Free Association between the United States and the Republic or Federated States.</text></clause><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
