<section id="H788D063BAB3340389DC1A3AD8E4D1023" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Termination of multichannel video programming and Internet access service contracts</header> 
<subsection id="HB43B523D73874C9390D5B8AFA05BB22D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 305A of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/50/3956">50 U.S.C. 3956</external-xref>) is amended—</text> <paragraph id="H64E0495D15004845BC254E70D5A98ECF"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in the section heading, by inserting <quote><header-in-text level="section" style="OLC">, multichannel video programming, and Internet access</header-in-text></quote> after <quote><header-in-text level="section" style="OLC">telephone</header-in-text></quote>;</text> </paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HB7143DB563B0437AA29EDD845BD7D0B3"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (b), by striking <quote>cellular telephone service or telephone exchange service</quote> and inserting <quote>commercial mobile service, telephone exchange service, Internet access service, or multichannel video programming service</quote>;</text> </paragraph> <paragraph id="HFD834BC4C09347C38644331236F3CB49"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in subsection (c), by inserting <quote>for commercial mobile service or telephone exchange service</quote> before <quote>terminated</quote>;</text> </paragraph>

<subparagraph id="H0DAF94869C444A0799AC177F57045926"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking paragraph (1) and inserting the following:</text> <quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HD8543BF3F2C146D4BF9F36EF9000EF06" style="OLC"> <paragraph id="H66E2A233F34A45BCB41E4F0247C71B3A"><enum>(1)</enum><text>The term <term>commercial mobile service</term> has the meaning given that term in section 332(d) of the Communications Act of 1934 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/47/332">47 U.S.C. 332(d)</external-xref>).</text> </paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H24A96FA0790049D7A1F62375C2B04D5F"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The term <term>multichannel video programming service</term> means a subscription video service offered by a multichannel video programming distributor, as that term is defined in section 602 of the Communications Act of 1934 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/47/522">47 U.S.C. 522</external-xref>), over a system the distributor owns or controls.</text> </paragraph> <paragraph id="H566F4C923A9048F48555D465B7FD4A81"><enum>(3)</enum><text>The term <term>provider-owned consumer premises equipment</term> means any equipment that a provider of Internet access service or multichannel video programming service rents or loans to a customer during the provision of that service, including gateways, routers, cable modems, voice-capable modems, CableCARDs, converters, digital adapters, remote controls, and any other equipment provided.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </subparagraph></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H6F70D4AA09A24A6680CEA0A22D4B2469"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical amendments</header> 
<paragraph id="H3F9F99D762E64439B5916E1CBC9E9F42"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Title heading</header><text>The heading for title III of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act is amended by striking <quote><header-in-text level="title" style="OLC">telephone</header-in-text></quote> and inserting <quote><header-in-text level="title" style="OLC">communications</header-in-text></quote>.</text> </paragraph> <paragraph id="HF249D1134B6E43949275070085B3A686"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Table of contents</header><text>The table of contents in section 1(b) of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act is amended—</text>
