<official-title display="yes">To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to acquire approximately 44 acres of land in Martinez, California, for inclusion in the John Muir National Historic Site, and for other purposes.</official-title>

<section id="H4A96C98C0C2B4E50A17A5104B92BEC51" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>John Muir National Historic Site Expansion Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HA7964D2F93534A8C89491D04909BC802"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>
<paragraph id="H6569E98E739F4CB2AFC6EAC84A1EE4DE"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Historic site</header><text>The term <quote>Historic Site</quote> means the John Muir National Historic Site in Martinez, California, established by <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/88/547">Public Law 88–547</external-xref> (78 Stat. 753).</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H34491041B53947B78294EBB6B84A0D4B"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Map</header><text>The term <quote>map</quote> means the map entitled <quote>John Muir National Historic Site Proposed Boundary Expansion</quote>, numbered 426/127150, and dated November 2014.</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H140CECD86629404480EF7EAB75551E15"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The term <quote>Secretary</quote> means the Secretary of the Interior.</text></paragraph></section> <section id="HD907D159B866410198CCBDD64CBF0DEC"><enum>3.</enum><header>John Muir National Historic Site land acquisition</header> <subsection id="H4D4C6DEDA9B24323835E711CD84DA37C"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Acquisition</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary may acquire by donation the approximately 44 acres of land and any interests in the land that is identified on the map.</text></subsection>
<subsection id="HE27C560974904065813029089E036B20"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Boundary</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">On the acquisition of the land authorized under subsection (a), the Secretary shall adjust the boundaries of the Historic Site to include the acquired land.</text></subsection> <subsection id="H69C6921FAAE44D7F8F0279C8C5E9BD32"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Administration</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The land and any interests in land acquired under subsection (a) shall be administered as part of the National Historic Site.</text></subsection></section>
