			 of retired members of the Armed Forces who reside in military housing to
			 attend Department of Defense elementary and secondary schools.</official-title></form>

 <section id="H52899F69112B43A88AE4D4F9C71F0AC7" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Continuity of Education for Military Retired Dependents Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H81C8BC604E6143C3A32DEB6CE5BBBF47"><enum>2.</enum><header>Education for dependents of certain retired members of the Armed Forces</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 2164(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="H7B2048BD43F646E1BE85DDEFF9CF3D0C"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1)—</text> <subparagraph id="H8DE54A4602614EA2B5FE09F3CF5F543B"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>, dependents of retirees,</quote> after <quote>dependents of members of the armed forces</quote>; and</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="HD407017C90CB43B29E9F9E1443203D09"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>and the dependents of such retirees</quote> after <quote>such members of the armed forces</quote>; and</text> </subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HF597789BBAC44CAA8BDB6D9EB11FFE16"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new paragraph:</text>

 <paragraph id="HFF0DA376C12348F48FD5E38354CDBC00" indent="up1"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For purposes of this subsection, the term <term>retiree</term> means a member or former member of the armed forces who is entitled to retired or retainer pay under this title, or who, but for age, would be eligible for retired or retainer pay under chapter 1223 of this title.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
