 <section id="H86B8443B386241608D01124F27D8EF0F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Responding to Idaho’s Judicial Emergency Act of 2017</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H291F68F8C6904AD0A21AD000AAD63EA7"><enum>2.</enum><header>Finding</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Congress finds that a judicial emergency (as such term is used by the Administrative Office of the United States Courts) exists within the district of Idaho and is resulting in a significant delay in the administration of justice for the citizens of Idaho.</text>
		</section><section id="H7FCC70FAC7AD4DB292738A0D95BB9ECE"><enum>3.</enum><header>Additional judge authorized</header>
 <subsection id="H52A25D4792124FB3842D3D4C570BDD66"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The President shall appoint, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate 1 additional district judge for the district of Idaho.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="H8D0C74C4563447049009BA7E92239771"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Tables conformed</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In order that the table contained in section 133 of title 28, United States Code, will, with respect to each judicial district, reflect the change in the total number of permanent district judgeships authorized under subsection (a), such table is amended in the item relating to the district of Idaho by striking <quote>2</quote> and inserting <quote>3</quote>.</text>
