			 respect to sexual misconduct.</official-title></form>
	<legis-body id="H69305BADE55C4E9DAC0B8B26BE568903" style="OLC">
 <section id="id2173C5666C2F4E379570CBEC2313FBCD" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Stop Tax Breaks for Sexual Misconduct Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H1A237D08B35B4F2FBB12E8485516822C" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Treatment of certain payments made with respect to sexual misconduct</header> <subsection id="HCCC5667990AB4675A0F23A554DA4C925"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Denial of deduction for certain payments made with respect to sexual misconduct</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/162">Section 162(c)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H62D480C2DA914977AB324D78AFED291E" style="OLC">
 <paragraph id="H09B5068A75A04D3182E5A7B150FCC61B"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Certain payments made with respect to sexual misconduct</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">No deduction shall be allowed under subsection (a) for any amount paid or incurred for—</text> <subparagraph id="HEC7CE2FB7A5640C48891789D1BDA9D3C"><enum>(A)</enum><text>liability insurance providing coverage with respect to sexual misconduct by an employee, or</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="HA868A586539641F9B32BD30086FEAA1A"><enum>(B)</enum><text>damages, settlement costs, or attorney’s fees with respect to sexual misconduct by an employee.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </subsection><subsection id="H4454B848FE73482BA6B16CFC17B8D231"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Exclusion from gross income of certain amounts received with respect to sexual misconduct</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/104">Section 104(a)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end of paragraph (5), by striking the period at the end of paragraph (6) and inserting <quote>; and</quote>, and by inserting after paragraph (6) the following new paragraph:</text>

 <paragraph id="H7FF69A04E3C9499AAFDB576B9947EF34"><enum>(7)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">amount received as damages or settlement payments on account of injuries due to sexual misconduct.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </subsection><subsection id="H192A6BED5BAA4E8FAC9AEAE712BB6522"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall apply to taxable years beginning after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
