 <section id="HD33B9A91327D4A0A8EC22575C794FBA2" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>American Taxpayer and Western Area Power Administration Customer Protection Act of 2017</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H86FFDCC6ADA243799C5E0C29BA987F37"><enum>2.</enum><header>Repeal</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 301 of the Hoover Power Plant Act of 1984 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/16421a">42 U.S.C. 16421a</external-xref>), is repealed.</text>
 </section><section id="H247EBFD4325F4A5288345AD0486B5B7E"><enum>3.</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Subject to section 4, section 2 shall be effective on September 15, 2018.</text> </section><section id="H3AF76127E37541F6B1CF03EDDEC9FF56"><enum>4.</enum><header>Effect of repeal</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The repeal under section 2 shall not apply to—</text>
 <paragraph id="H5A01BCDBA0974B668D20FA9787D79D44"><enum>(1)</enum><text>projects approved by the Secretary of Energy or the Deputy Secretary of Energy through memorandum before the effective date in section 3; or</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="HA9A31706B8B44DBB9DF2C761AA813B98"><enum>(2)</enum><text>projects deemed <quote>Projects in Execution</quote> on or before October 30, 2017.</text> </paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
