			 provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned</action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend the Controlled Substances Act to strike the definition of <quote>imminent danger to the public health or safety</quote> that was added by <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/114/145">Public Law 114–145</external-xref> for purposes of suspending a registration.</official-title></form>

 <section id="H7E966555112C4C1281FCC8012E4E9EBD" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Opioid Immediate Suspension Order Act of 2017</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H2071A9C4D13B439284370021336F2A09"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definition of imminent danger to the public health or safety for purposes of suspending a registration</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 304(d) of the Controlled Substances Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/21/824">21 U.S.C. 824(d)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="HEE137B8042E04A5E89E38BA79264776D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking <quote>(d)(1) The Attorney General</quote> and inserting <quote>(d) The Attorney General</quote>; and</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="HFB707AA298EC41CA92EA5AC9875AEA17"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking paragraph (2).</text>
