			 the Opioid Abuse Crisis through fiscal year 2023, and for other purposes.</official-title></form>
	<legis-body id="H6B0172AC19AE41AF9506EE3992BCE5FB" style="OLC">
 <section id="H7EF539108D0A4CC282B6B79A375F327A" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Opioid and Heroin Abuse Crisis Investment Act of 2017</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H95F4E39C8B894C539F95A0AA97307F65" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Amendments relating to the Account For the State Response to the Opioid Abuse Crisis</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1003 of the 21st Century Cures Act (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/114/255">Public Law 114–255</external-xref>; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/290ee-3">42 U.S.C. 290ee–3</external-xref> note) is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="HA14ABBBD686345FD94A85167E9B1DBF9"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (b)(3), by adding at the end the following new subparagraph:</text> <quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H790D42B2440B4A8C9ABC2421E5985D7F" style="OLC"> <subparagraph id="HAE257AD79A0C456E91B3D3F290BE869F"><enum>(C)</enum><header>Appropriations after fiscal year 2018</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">There is authorized to be appropriated, and there is appropriated, out of any monies in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the Account For the State Response to the Opioid Abuse Crisis $500,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H78D70A28B75744709ACD1E74CF54351C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (d)—</text> <subparagraph id="HB800C0B624D841ABA935303BB3673153"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in paragraph (1), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="HA0E15FD073184A1789008587A5137CD3"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by striking the period at the end and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text> </subparagraph><subparagraph id="HD82B530DBE6A4DD0A18D26E3E089CB93"><enum>(C)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new paragraph:</text>
