<section id="HAE62770162424DE8AB06F32F34B76C63" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Bureau of Land Management Headquarters Relocation Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H333CE52A5A6D47959D7B3E833EB5202A"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text> 
<paragraph id="H374B2623069A44C991BF2E83DA198485"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The term <quote>Secretary</quote> means the Secretary of the Interior.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H9306B1C36312453AB7E192E7EEAFD175"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Western State</header><text>The term <quote>western State</quote> means any of the States of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming.</text></paragraph></section> 
<section id="H7B73938EC5594AFB860FF3A5AD83A897"><enum>3.</enum><header>Strategy for relocating the headquarters of the Bureau of Land Management from Washington, DC, to a western State</header> 
<subsection id="HDDA91BBEB54042C4875964D25C10120B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate and the Committee on Natural Resources of the House of Representatives a strategy for relocating the headquarters of the Bureau of Land Management from Washington, DC, to a western State in a manner that will save the maximum amount of taxpayer money practicable.</text></subsection> <subsection id="H7D517ACA7DB3493B81207AFF01C30D95"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Requirements</header><text>The strategy submitted under subsection (a) shall include—</text> 
<paragraph id="H7AFEBC8FCA4340DC9EE53331881A1680"><enum>(1)</enum><text>metrics for choosing a location for the relocated headquarters of the Bureau of Land Management;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HF45E8CF4600B4E479A82F8559F963DB7"><enum>(2)</enum><text>a description of the determining factors in favor of the relocation; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H40FAFCF86467452CA1D21FCD31EF77CB"><enum>(3)</enum><text>a proposed timeline for the relocation.</text></paragraph></subsection></section> <section id="H70A63BA3132D44069AE1EF0D6534CAE6"><enum>4.</enum><header>Authorization for relocation of the headquarters of the Bureau of Land Management from Washington, DC, to a western State</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Notwithstanding section 72 of title 4, United States Code, the Secretary may relocate the headquarters of the Bureau of Land Management from Washington, DC, to a western State specified by the Secretary.</text></section>
