 <section id="idDE06080672BB4976A290692250B1B3CF" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>State Veterans Home Adult Day Health Care Improvement Act of 2016</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H12237F90CFD343DABD8F6FF18BCBF3C4"><enum>2.</enum><header>Provision of certain adult day health care services for veterans</header> <subsection id="H65A1E52E1FD349BFAD81CE0FB160B1EA"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1745 of title 38, United States Code, is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="H35989895234E406585A6B4228E38E144"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text> <quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H2E1C1511E93F4CAE934558664D5BA4A5" style="USC"> <subsection id="HFA15D93FD3B64BCEA96B6B6980BEF8C8"><enum>(d)</enum><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="H3E01AA3602054632802D79DD6291908C"><enum>(1)</enum><text>The Secretary shall enter into a contract or agreement with each State home for payment by the Secretary for medical supervision model adult day health care provided to a veteran described in subsection (a)(1) on whose behalf the State home is not in receipt of payment for nursing home care from the Secretary.</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H3F06CE6BB77243C5AF26FE9BD74F99F1" indent="up1"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Payment under each contract or agreement between the Secretary and a State home under paragraph (1) for each veteran who receives medical supervision model adult day health care under such contract or agreement shall be made at a rate that is equal to 65 percent of the payment that the Secretary would make under subsection (a)(2) to the State home for nursing home care provided to the veteran.</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H0643AE29F3DC42099610F54DFC6BBC28" indent="up1"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Payment by the Secretary under paragraph (1) to a State home for medical supervision model adult day health care provided to a veteran described in that paragraph constitutes payment in full to the State home for such care furnished to that veteran.</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="id1161732631164D318CB14A48564BB25F" indent="up1"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this subsection, the term <term>medical supervision model adult day health care</term> means adult day health care that includes the coordination of physician services, dental services, the administration of drugs, and such other requirements as determined appropriate by the Secretary.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H4636197360AB4BEEA89E52485CAC932C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in the section heading, by inserting <quote><header-in-text level="section" style="USC">, adult day health care,</header-in-text></quote> after <quote><header-in-text level="section" style="USC">home care</header-in-text></quote>.</text> </paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HC40A46CC471E4D308046B632191F50B2"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 17 of such title is amended by striking the item relating to section 1745 and inserting the following new item:</text>
