			 passengers on passenger aircraft.</official-title>

		<section id="id9915DAD64CC142AF8304F90E7108EC64" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Regulations relating to space for passengers on aircraft</header>
 <subsection id="idf95d6d67b2264db1ae611990ad29b352"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Moratorium on reductions to aircraft seat size</header><text>Not later than 30 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration shall prohibit any air carrier from reducing the size, width, padding, or pitch of seats on passenger aircraft operated by the air carrier, the amount of leg room per seat on such aircraft, or the width of aisles on such aircraft.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="idede27a838818455bb5f00c6483493b99"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Regulations relating to space for passengers on aircraft</header><text>Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator shall prescribe regulations—</text>
 <paragraph id="id51E4C764CAE84747B90849273E95E817"><enum>(1)</enum><text>establishing minimum standards for space for passengers on passenger aircraft, including the size, width, padding, and pitch of seats, the amount of leg room per seat, and the width of aisles on such aircraft for the safety, health, and comfort of passengers; and</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id1dfb33abc5f24995a875131bf290c3ef"><enum>(2)</enum><text>requiring each air carrier to prominently display on the website of the air carrier the amount of space available for each passenger on passenger aircraft operated by the air carrier, including the size, width, padding, and pitch of seats, the amount of leg room per seat, and the width of aisles on such aircraft.</text>
 </paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id83e360187c0f474c90cb563050337f6f"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Consultations</header><text>In prescribing the regulations required by subsection (b), the Administrator shall consult with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, passenger advocacy organizations, physicians, and ergonomic engineers.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="idf3b1900402cb47da8525a780cbf39ec9"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Air carrier defined</header><text>In this section, the term <term>air carrier</term> means an air carrier (as defined in section 40102 of title 49, United States Code) that transports passengers by aircraft as a common carrier for compensation.</text>
