 silence each Veterans Day.</official-title></form><legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" id="H7039C42AE98949819565A6862A49C3A9" style="OLC"><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H5F77677B554148AD9EA1FCB09D94C307" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Veterans Day Moment of Silence Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H345FB173FAC746CBB45D83D6A9F9FAE4" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Observance of Veterans Day</header><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H32A4435191514B898F7B0EB614806944"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Two minutes of silence</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/36/1">Chapter 1</external-xref> of title 36, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new section:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H9331D40A1EEE4864B20AE0D65C676540" style="USC"><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HF996574180E6430CA59DAE894E5D1585" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>145.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Veterans Day</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The President shall issue each year a proclamation calling on the people of the United States to observe two minutes of silence on Veterans Day in honor of the service and sacrifice of veterans throughout the history of the Nation, beginning at—</text><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H63FAEE00926C4C0ABCB397EF4205F54A"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">3:11 p.m. Atlantic standard time;</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H2EDC5DEF3116431EAF29845E13E0FAC3"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">2:11 p.m. eastern standard time;</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HEB09EE80E530435789F14011F7DE2A6D"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">1:11 p.m. central standard time;</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HAC9A9ACC4261483DA4D5BE7E38813BC3"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">12:11 p.m. mountain standard time;</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA0A1AA1C8A224D6AB6C4C9E5809EBED5"><enum>(5)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">11:11 a.m. Pacific standard time;</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H4B902ACFAF134AAB8BBF70D1AF715222"><enum>(6)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">10:11 a.m. Alaska standard time; and</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H5FF3E9AD8CAB4CE9952256970166EA25"><enum>(7)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">9:11 a.m. Hawaii-Aleutian standard time.</text></paragraph></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H91F51030DC964C2F97922CEF76E6CD92"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Clerical amendment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The table of sections for <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/36/1">chapter 1</external-xref> of title 36, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new item:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H1FB48732426D4EC6B29D1F945C7BF343" style="USC"><toc regeneration="no-regeneration"><toc-entry bold="off" level="section">145.
