<official-title display="yes">To amend title 49, United States Code, with respect to certain grant assurances, and for other purposes.</official-title>

<section id="HCB8FE8665AC14A31A9072804F6AF193B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Grant assurances</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 47107 of title 49, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:</text> <quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HFB0568555295414CA42FFC40B6C2DD40" style="USC"> <subsection id="H731C2397C76E43C0AFFA7871172B2907"><enum>(t)</enum><header>Renewal of certain leases</header> <paragraph id="HE29A1037145F4E97A18507D8752DA2CF"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Notwithstanding subsection (a)(13), an airport owner or operator who renews a covered lease shall not be treated as violating a written assurance requirement under this section as a result of such renewal.</text> </paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H769EC71A06A7477F8BF10FD513591A37"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Covered lease defined</header><text>In this subsection, the term <term>covered lease</term> means a lease—</text> <subparagraph id="H45814C77D6254A5BB6D4F81A25D9C049"><enum>(A)</enum><text>originally entered into before the date of enactment of this subsection;</text> </subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H74E334B5EFD24416B3C213975F5D74E9"><enum>(B)</enum><text>under which a nominal lease rate is provided;</text> </subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H775127B59DF248358B79477427A641C3"><enum>(C)</enum><text>under which the lessee is a Federal or State government entity; and</text> </subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HAE2AB2F9E59943919E54369DEEB4909A"><enum>(D)</enum><text>that supports the operation of military aircraft by the Air Force or Air National Guard—</text> <clause id="H096C178FCBEF43919219B0741B9006F9"><enum>(i)</enum><text>at the airport; or</text> </clause> 
<clause id="H8E3EF0006BC049EB8BED04895441D184"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>remotely from the airport.</text></clause></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </section> </legis-body> <attestation><attestation-group><role>Speaker of the House of Representatives.</role></attestation-group><attestation-group><role>Vice President of the United States and President of the Senate.</role></attestation-group></attestation> </bill>
