		<official-title>To eliminate the sunset date for the Choice Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs, to
			 expand eligibility for such program, and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Permanent Department of Veterans Affairs Choice Card Act of 2015</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="idAED992ED451F46CD8478A6023B8BC52A"><enum>2.</enum><header>Expansion of Choice Program of Department of Veterans Affairs</header>
			<subsection id="id7BEE98B5AC86480E9B59F2391DCC05D3"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Elimination of sunset</header>
 <paragraph id="id682276818421456BADEE24F2753670C3"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Section 101 of the Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act of 2014 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/113/146">Public Law 113–146</external-xref>; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/1701">38 U.S.C. 1701</external-xref> note) is amended—</text>
 <subparagraph id="id0A01DB4D724B497F9ADB9F164800B5EC"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking subsection (p); and</text> </subparagraph><subparagraph id="idB181B81B0F1545F89675A8B8F6637F3B"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by redesignating subsections (q), (r), (s), and (t) as subsections (p), (q), (r), and (s), respectively.</text>
 </subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="idEAFB842B88634AEB856AC883A1F0CE40"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Conforming amendments</header><text>Such section is amended—</text> <subparagraph id="idCA60FDADBB68457C993DFAC35E26827F"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in subsection (i)(2), by striking <quote>during the period in which the Secretary is authorized to carry out this section pursuant to subsection (p)</quote>; and</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="id67ED9355335B4D1DBA0D3C1055004849"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in subsection (p)(2), as redesignated by paragraph (1)(B), by striking subparagraph (F).</text> </subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idF503D95FC9B54EF2BFECAD47DB793FE1"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Expansion of eligibility</header> <paragraph id="idCA329F38B3B643B682E696565F3289E9"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Subsection (b) of such section is amended to read as follows:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id5D3534C3F7F24F26B376F2D8D3CEB19B" style="OLC">
 <subsection id="id9E4FCE85DC6546C2A58F94C60B663FBF"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Eligible veterans</header><text>A veteran is an eligible veteran for purposes of this section if the veteran is enrolled in the patient enrollment system of the Department of Veterans Affairs established and operated under section 1705 of title 38, United States Code, including any such veteran who has not received hospital care or medical services from the Department and has contacted the Department seeking an initial appointment from the Department for the receipt of such care or services.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="id14FF30A1C05344C8ACABCE81A4945408"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Conforming amendments</header><text>Such section is amended—</text> <subparagraph id="id24745B1F45DF4607BF3C2462001AF204"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in subsection (c)(1)—</text>
 <clause id="idE934EF018EE0474E835B1A2D02DEF20A"><enum>(i)</enum><text>in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>In the case of an eligible veteran described in subsection (b)(2)(A), the Secretary shall, at the election of the eligible veteran</quote> and inserting <quote>The Secretary shall, at the election of an eligible veteran</quote>; and</text>
 </clause><clause id="id28A721B7DE4F459EB974C413F0A3923C"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>in subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>described in such subsection</quote> and inserting <quote>of the Veterans Health Administration</quote>;</text> </clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id8EA32C41FCB54445B708DF967D96CD82"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in subsection (f)(1), by striking <quote>subsection (b)(1)</quote> and inserting <quote>subsection (b)</quote>;</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="id8188B6C57E4C474FADCA054884F10C3A"><enum>(C)</enum><text>in subsection (g), by striking paragraph (3); and</text> </subparagraph><subparagraph id="id5504FFE4412946EF9722DED2288FC3F2"><enum>(D)</enum><text>in subsection (p)(2)(A), as redesignated by subsection (a)(1)(B), by striking <quote>, disaggregated by—</quote> and all that follows through <quote>subsection (b)(2)(D)</quote>.</text>
 </subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id1A6377FD47DC434B9A1CFBE00205E6F2"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall apply with respect to hospital care and medical services furnished under such section on and after the date that is 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
