			 the furnishing of such emergency treatment, and for other purposes.</official-title></form>
	<legis-body>
		<section id="id105D68116FD444CFB9C3BF715E30BE83" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Expansion of emergency
 treatment reimbursement for certain veterans</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1725(b)(2)(B) of title 38, United States Code, is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="idB73A3DC976574B3883E4367B53D74189"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by inserting <quote>(i)</quote> after <quote>(B)</quote>;</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="idC34EE07B9A2B4EF8BB9135E05FDC9B6C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking the period at the end and inserting <quote>; or</quote>; and</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="id9334A68AEB0B44CEA14D64F2A99C5113"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id00E889CA862F480FB90BFD811E0C7B30" style="OLC">
 <clause id="id8D3B186601C54F16A07FA33330040CFA" indent="up2"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>the veteran was unable to receive care under this chapter within such 24-month period because of a waiting period imposed by the Department with respect to a new patient examination of such veteran.</text></clause><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
