 <whereas><text>Whereas the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International and other organizations have declared the second week of April as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week;</text>
 </whereas><whereas><text>Whereas there are over 6,000 public safety call centers, known as public safety answering points, in the United States;</text>
 </whereas><whereas><text>Whereas public safety communications professionals dedicate their lives to helping others;</text> </whereas><whereas><text>Whereas public safety communications professionals work under challenging and stressful circumstances;</text>
 </whereas><whereas><text>Whereas public safety communications professionals are an important part of the first responder community, providing critical support to the Nation’s law enforcement, fire, and rescue personnel; and</text>
 </whereas><whereas><text>Whereas public safety communications professionals are critical to helping preserve public safety and the general welfare: Now, therefore, be it</text></whereas></preamble>
	<resolution-body id="H3855135189174A618DA2006380189165" style="traditional">
 <section display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="H2EC22D7D58D449FABF2A644EBE982FA1" section-type="undesignated-section"><enum></enum><text>That Congress—</text> <paragraph id="HFBEFF3A8701145299ED33EDCF5BCD7F3"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">supports the goals and ideals of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week;</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="HBE89BF245B97400AAF90C37C56450B9A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>honors and recognizes the importance and contributions of the Nation’s public safety communications professionals; and</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="HEDBD55AFC06A48E9AA151C9841418E79"><enum>(3)</enum><text>encourages the people of the United States to remember the value of the work performed by public safety communications professionals.</text>
