			<text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
		  <quote><short-title>Layoff Prevention Extension  Act of 2014</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id4A855840F0A9461C952597E3D678CD60" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Extension of temporary financing of short-time compensation payments in States with programs in law</header><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id7FF921A474424669AD4C7B039E7BA1D7"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2162(b) of the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012 (26 U.S.C. 3304
			 note) is amended—</text><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id669590B81AA245ABB74A778F11BFEA17"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (1)(B), by striking <quote>3 years</quote> and inserting <quote>4 years</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idDEB3F60B1B534F56A51E42D522CEBFF3"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (2)—</text><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id2AB52592EB524CB78842879A568D9A19"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in the heading, by striking <quote><header-in-text level="paragraph" style="OLC">Three-year</header-in-text></quote> and inserting <quote><header-in-text level="paragraph" style="OLC">Four-year</header-in-text></quote>; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id97C08F64C9014BFAB42C6501BE71900E"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking <quote>156 weeks</quote> and inserting <quote>208 weeks</quote>.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id2194707A784C4FEC86B86BE1FDD35223"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Technical correction</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/3306">Section 3306(v)(6)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/3306">26 U.S.C. 3306</external-xref>) is amended by inserting <quote>or the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act</quote> after <quote>1998</quote>.</text></subsection></section><section id="id3B6237BFF72F4BC790C85549D1248A9F"><enum>3.</enum><header>Extension of deadline for submitting an application for grants for short-time compensation programs</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 2164(c)(1) of the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012 (26 U.S.C. 3304
			 note) is amended by striking <quote>December 31, 2014</quote> and inserting <quote>December 31, 2015</quote>.</text>
