Short title

This Act may be cited as the UAC State Notification Act of 2014.

Notification of State Governors

Section 235 of the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008 (8 U.S.C. 1232) is amended by adding at the end the following:(j)

Notification to States

The Secretary of Homeland Security or the Secretary of Health and Human Services shall notify the Governor of a State not later than 48 hours prior to the transfer of an unaccompanied alien child in the custody of such Secretary to such State..
