		  STATES</current-chamber><legis-type display="yes">AN ACT</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To designate as wilderness certain land and
		  inland water within the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in the State of
		  Michigan, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" style="OLC"><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id0B1427661B894BABA0CEC9B446C55E11" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
			 Conservation and Recreation Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID3e1df3442dd14dceae42c82bd349afad" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID6e0cca0ab3744f69ac2caaadfe5342d6"><enum>(1)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Map</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>map</term> means the map
			 consisting of 6 sheets entitled <quote>Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
			 Proposed Wilderness Boundary</quote>, numbered 634/80,083B, and dated November
			 2010.</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID8a4dfda554b740d7a849237433022454"><enum>(2)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Secretary</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>Secretary</term> means the
			 Secretary of the Interior.</text></paragraph></section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID2d6b3a9329c1410ab25f1b90a6aa5f6f" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>3.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Sleeping bear dunes wilderness</header><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDd995d6a1fdc44c40bb64a7e577f7ebf8"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Designation</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In accordance with the Wilderness Act (16
			 U.S.C. 1131 et seq.), certain land and inland water within the Sleeping
			 Bear
			 Dunes National Lakeshore comprising approximately 32,557 acres along the
			 mainland shore of Lake Michigan and on certain nearby islands in Benzie
			 and
			 Leelanau Counties, Michigan, as generally depicted on the map, is
			 designated as
			 wilderness and as a component of the National Wilderness Preservation
			 System,
			 to be known as the <quote>Sleeping Bear Dunes Wilderness</quote>.</text></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID212dc9b6f55846c9bfac52dd7461dfc4"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Map</header><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id3862A08B2C1D44B0A332044DC5494FFE"><enum>(1)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Availability</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The map shall be on file and available for
			 public inspection in appropriate offices of the National Park Service.</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idC8B2468097F54E60BAC302127850343D"><enum>(2)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Corrections</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary may correct any clerical or
			 typographical errors in the map.</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID0e62325a3e814b25a98a9d53c9975577"><enum>(3)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Legal description</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">As soon as practicable after the date of
			 enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall prepare a legal description of
			 the
			 wilderness boundary and submit a copy of the map and legal description to
			 the
			 Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate and the Committee
			 on
			 Natural Resources of the House of Representatives.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID3bfb824ba99c4d549a85c20ac09fc214"><enum>(c)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Road Setbacks</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The wilderness boundary shall be—</text><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID2b5cb9a2ef114534aeff60f2eace6c39"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">100 feet from the centerline of adjacent
			 county roads; and</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID729f415342e44a709e42ccf69535b10a"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">300 feet from the centerline of adjacent
			 State highways.</text></paragraph></subsection></section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDf8ce76071ddf420196ef03d7fe35971c" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>4.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Administration</header><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDd69fe134935248d3b440c3f5f09988fc"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subject to valid existing rights, the
			 wilderness area designated by section 3(a) shall be administered by the
			 Secretary in accordance with the Wilderness Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/1131">16 U.S.C. 1131 et seq.</external-xref>),
			 except that—</text><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDb32e1130f1af4950913cfca2754874a8"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">any reference in the Wilderness Act to the
			 effective date of that Act shall be considered to be a reference to the
			 date of
			 enactment of this Act; and</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID9f697a0af812418e82fe5fcdf9b35882"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">any reference in the Wilderness Act to the
			 Secretary of Agriculture shall be considered to be a reference to the
			 Secretary.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDbae7daf376204edba75cdff60bdc6961"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Maintenance of roads outside wilderness
			 boundary</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Nothing in this Act
			 prevents the maintenance and improvement of roads that are located outside
			 the
			 boundary of the wilderness area designated by section 3(a).</text></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDacf0e930e6444870851a1ba1d4882f21"><enum>(c)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Fish and wildlife</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Nothing in this Act affects the
			 jurisdiction of the State of Michigan with respect to the management of
			 fish
			 and wildlife, including hunting and fishing within the national lakeshore
			 in
			 accordance with section 5 of <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/91/479">Public Law 91–479</external-xref> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/460x-4">16 U.S.C. 460x–4</external-xref>).</text></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDc28e3a74aa4c4c009363eb28269aff4e"><enum>(d)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Savings Provisions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Nothing in this Act modifies, alters, or
			 affects—</text><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID40489d158d6e47f0976fbc93049c14da"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">any treaty rights; or</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID851f40b168104f209067b38b9e68e9e2"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">any valid private property rights in
