		<official-title>To authorize the exchange of certain Federal land and non-Federal land in the State of Minnesota.</official-title>

			<enum>1.</enum>
			<header>Short
			 title</header>
			<text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>School District 318 Land Exchange
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="idD218B968281C4044847E157BB86B210B"><enum>2.</enum><header>Purposes</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The purposes of this Act are—</text><paragraph id="id8C60E76770EB4D7FB1662D06B1BA454B"><enum>(1)</enum><text>to provide greater safety to the students of the Robert J. Elkington Middle School and the families
			 of those students in Grand Rapids, Minnesota; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idFA2BA9904A3142B2BAB8C072C2242ADD"><enum>(2)</enum><text>to promote the mission of the United States Geological Survey.</text></paragraph></section><section id="id1AB93FA645724FA5936ADD8B747D72A3">
			<enum>3.</enum>
			<header>Definitions</header>
			<text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>
			<paragraph id="idECB6DACFD3B54970A6859B4911CE73A7">
				<enum>(1)</enum>
				<header>District</header>
				<text>The
			 term <term>District</term> means Minnesota Independent School District number
			 318 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="idA5B7CD966E124BEE8B215275F6C5377B">
				<enum>(2)</enum>
				<header>Federal
			 land</header>
				<subparagraph id="idFD76E65D4CD04A18904A6B6990A9739A"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The term <term>Federal land</term> means the parcel of
			 approximately 1.3 acres of United States Geological Survey land identified
			 as
			 USGS Parcel 91-016-4111 on the map, which was transferred to the
			 Department of
			 the Interior by the General Services Administration by a letter dated July
			 22, 1965.</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id72BC5EB4707D45C6B4FABD2161D634A5"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Inclusion</header><text>The term <term>Federal land</term> includes any structures on the land described in subparagraph (A).</text>
				</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="idCC6C5E3B108B412FAB91E5DB97EEF4DD">
				<enum>(3)</enum>
				<header>Map</header>
				<text>The
			 term <term>map</term> means	each of the maps entitled
			 <quote>USGS and School Parcel Locations </quote> and dated January 15, 2014.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="idCA862412AC6B465392BB3028DA2C5CB8">
				<enum>(4)</enum>
				<header>Non-Federal
			 land</header>
				<subparagraph id="id22D1F5FE8C854319A1AC8159DA47E106"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The term <term>non-Federal land</term> means the parcel of
			 approximately 1.6 acres of District land identified as School Parcel
			 91-540-1210
			 on
			 the map.</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id0904DFFA76B64A6C8613576EE11C72CC"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Inclusion</header><text>The term <term>non-Federal land</term> includes any structures on the land described in subparagraph (A).</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="idF3CFA4206B6C4260B57012C8DFA19F5B"><enum>(5)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The term <term>Secretary</term> means the Secretary of the Interior.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="idC4AD6836B5DC4DD9B4499A2CC7B1173F">
			<enum>4.</enum>
			<header>Exchange of
			 federal land and non-Federal land</header><subsection id="idA3DA8228FD8B49FD92E0F11C90093BFF"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header>
				<text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If the District offers to convey to the
			 United States all right, title, and interest of the District in and to the
			 non-Federal land, the Secretary shall—</text>
				<paragraph id="idC407AA2A33874211AE0BA740B553B804">
					<enum>(1)</enum>
					<text display-inline="yes-display-inline">accept the offer; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="idD18534F2495141ED8FBCD9D18FE2C836">
					<enum>(2)</enum>
					<text display-inline="yes-display-inline">convey to the District all right, title,
			 and interest of the United States in and to the Federal land.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id1645ecaa39814cc5b03e3edd636860aa"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Valuation</header><paragraph id="iddf9e3d7d097f436386202afaf6f92bf3"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The value of the Federal land and non-Federal land to be exchanged under subsection (a) shall be
			 determined—</text><subparagraph id="id0013deab9084493e8f3aed2d08102691"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by an independent appraiser selected by the Secretary; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="idf2e7ad0b9f4f49ff8030d3f36b30c350"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in accordance with the Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions and the Uniform
			 Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="id64b3a457a31542e696edfcefff1a6d5a"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Approval</header><text>Appraisals conducted under paragraph (1) shall be submitted to the Secretary for approval.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id96fbe0b311344a2f89c1a2683ca3af6a"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Cash equalization payments</header><subparagraph id="id5DA514B9E2574F1795519FDE69027A8D"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In general</header><text>If the value of the Federal land and non-Federal land to be exchanged under subsection (a) is not
			 of equal value, the value shall be equalized through a cash equalization
			 payment to the Secretary.</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id62AEEF32CA014698A9E2BFE19C71F9FF"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Use of amounts</header><text>Amounts received under subparagraph (A) shall be deposited in the Treasury and credited to
			 miscellaneous receipts.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body>
