		  outreach, and coordination of services, to veterans.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short
			 title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as
			 the <quote><short-title>Streamlining Services for Older
			 Veterans Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="idF57A8935859643169AB6D65CB6D0C237"><enum>2.</enum><header>Outreach and
			 coordination of services to veterans</header><subsection commented="no" id="id4856C84E56AF4ACF80E3916A6C31F703"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Definition</header><text>Section
			 102 of the Older Americans Act of 1965 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/3002">42 U.S.C. 3002</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph commented="no" id="id0059FA294E88492994EB7536E6C81EAC"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph
			 (24)—</text><subparagraph commented="no" id="id0F6B77B4B223457F9A1C07F651B62B3B"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in subparagraph
			 (B), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" id="idD6D657F07D41433EABCC2144D665E1B5"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in subparagraph
			 (C), by striking the period and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" id="id183019F52F324BB28FC0B2F73F4AB09A"><enum>(C)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id9530887F25C44BEE8F02B537A70FAFFB" style="OLC"><subparagraph commented="no" id="id2B9D820A9A6A4B87A0D19FA015FDF0B5"><enum>(D)</enum><text>status as a
				veteran.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" id="id77A28C38DC794EA0A667C4B3BE2E0855"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idDB639A51DBF94D3986E21FF7310AF89A" style="OLC"><paragraph commented="no" id="idB10D57098E1E47B99EF2B9B935DD6660"><enum>(55)</enum><text>The term
				<term>veteran</term> has the meaning given the term in <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/101">section 101</external-xref> of title 38,
				United States
				Code.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idCDE8611CEFE041D19253A802EA93E371"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Area
			 plan</header><text>Section 306(a) of the Older Americans Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C.
			 3026(a)) is amended—</text><paragraph id="id831687F082C94B538A51545C75771D20"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph
			 (16), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id62E4915EA32643939E77B9D54A7CDFBA"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph
			 (17), by striking the period and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idA42B2901424C45B0AF5B23F75B9F5E20"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idA458A901FCCB4CACB12714CBD2723086" style="OLC"><paragraph id="id0E1924FF3E7E4A51BB7A69FDBFEA7A08"><enum>(18)</enum><text>include
				information describing—</text><subparagraph id="id7187D864CC4147C4A8C1B5B20A285330"><enum>(A)</enum><text>how the area
				agency on aging will engage in outreach to veterans who are eligible for
				services under this Act; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id56A71430D3DA4DF8A9C5D9C1DDAF6BF8"><enum>(B)</enum><text>effective and
				efficient procedures for the coordination of services provided under this Act
				with services provided to veterans by the Department of Veterans Affairs and
				other
				providers.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idE12C54EB2C524228ADE9185D570BE6FE"><enum>(c)</enum><header>State
			 plan</header><text>Section 307(a) of the Older Americans Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C.
			 3027(a)) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id0DE290DAD56C4BBBBB26A035379DD6A2" style="OLC"><paragraph id="idA13C42B279184E66B7B45703BACA97F9"><enum>(31)</enum><text>The plan shall
				include information describing—</text><subparagraph id="id47D38D72FDFF4B60968867AB6CF1F56E"><enum>(A)</enum><text>how the State
				agency will engage in outreach to veterans who are eligible for services under
				this Act; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id17EB2FBABF074B7A8396F9EECD6FA3E9"><enum>(B)</enum><text>effective and
				efficient procedures for the coordination of services provided under this Act
				with services provided to veterans by the Department of Veterans Affairs and
				other
				providers.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
