which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSFR00">Committee on Foreign Relations</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To require a report on INF Treaty compliance information sharing.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="id836F9440BF08407A9A0FB5A6BE426CF2" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Report on INF Treaty compliance information sharing</header><subsection id="id20C443A92B19454CB8CB7090EF39A3EA"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Not later than 60 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of State, in coordination with the Secretary of Defense and the Director of National Intelligence, shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report on information and intelligence sharing with North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and NATO countries on compliance issues related to the INF Treaty.</text></subsection><subsection id="id586C168478554F91A409AFF879C60ED4"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Elements</header><text>The report required under subsection (a) shall include the following elements:</text><paragraph id="id41f47c2b9b6e4b529818c50aba008ca8"><enum>(1)</enum><text>A description of all compliance and consistency issues associated with the INF Treaty, including a listing and assessment of all Ground Launched Russian Federation Systems being designed, tested, or deployed with ranges between 500 kilometers and 5,500 kilometers.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id6638583305424E4F98182690F2ECF754"><enum>(2)</enum><text>An assessment of INF Treaty compliance and consistency information sharing among NATO countries, including—</text><subparagraph id="idA64F6F45AEDF4063A72914A256EA1D02"><enum>(A)</enum><text>sharing among specific  NATO countries and the NATO Secretariat;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id775D7783452C4F7AA570BE6F19BE9D07"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the date specific information was shared; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="idB9916B1D6CDC418DA47FAD8AAA1D4203"><enum>(C)</enum><text>the manner in which such information was transmitted.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="id4392AEF77D5E406EB5F14B317DF61519"><enum>(3)</enum><text>If any information on INF Treaty compliance or consistency was withheld from a specific NATO country or the NATO Secretariat, a justification for why such information was withheld.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id1E412F32296A461488532716916069A7"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Updates</header><text>Not later than 180 days and one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of State, in coordination with the Secretary of Defense and the Director of National Intelligence, shall provide to the appropriate congressional committees updates to the report submitted under subsection (a).</text></subsection><subsection id="id243EA95C5EEE49BB8AA85E928D4B4F7C"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In this section:</text><paragraph id="idF56F96FDCB5C47C5BD7C04660340EA30"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Appropriate congressional committees</header><text>The term <term>appropriate congressional committees</term> means—</text><subparagraph id="id2A266D10522B443AB7B532FC6CF6452F"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Relations, the Select Committee on Intelligence, and the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id66360CE517C3480FAF98C87A0CE4AD3A"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the Committee on Armed Services, the  Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="idC3F57B50AF354584BEE92ECA4D0F774E"><enum>(2)</enum><header>INF Treaty</header><text>The term <term>INF Treaty</term> means the Treaty Between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics on the Elimination of their Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles, signed at Washington, DC,  December 8, 1987.</text></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
