		<official-title>To amend the State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956 to require congressional notification
			 not less than 15 days after a reward is authorized under the Rewards for
			 Justice Program of the Department of State, and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="HBD3B4E59CEFF4C69908D8A241D0E2C40" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Rewards for Justice Congressional Notification Act of 2014</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HCBD33A2492304BAFA197E47F3068C9C6"><enum>2.</enum><header>Congressional notification of reward</header>
			<subsection id="H29296F06429E49B9A4D26E2B4C2E0199"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 36 of the State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/2708">22 U.S.C. 2708</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H43BE807DC6B84140B7DE506B18523D91"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (g), by adding at the end the following new paragraph:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H79C49AF73D8D48F18926D8EE161F9A3A" style="OLC">
						<paragraph id="HBA5581DC9652493CB0971422BC0700FF"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Reports on rewards authorized</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not less than 15 days after a reward is authorized under this section, the Secretary of State shall
			 submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report, which may be
			 submitted in classified form if necessary, detailing information about the
			 reward, including the identity of the individual for whom the award is
			 being made, the amount of the reward, the acts with respect to which the
			 reward is being made, and how the reward is being publicized.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H9819CA8F05E041008216DE04BE60B346"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (k)(2), by striking <quote>International Relations</quote> and inserting <quote>Foreign Affairs</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HB612FB9DFC3D4910B2FB9748C98795A9"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendment made by subsection (a)(1) takes effect on the date of the enactment of this Act and
			 applies with respect to any reward authorized under section 36 of the
			 State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956 on or after the date of the
			 enactment of this Act.</text>
