		<official-title>To amend the Inspector General Act of 1976 to fill Inspector General vacancies, and for other

		<section id="H0472261713EF4FBC807EB46DB0F6DB28" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Inspector General Vacancy Act of 2014</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H737E0CCA4897442FB2AD25BF805AEDB2"><enum>2.</enum><header>Amendment</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3 of the Inspector General Act of 1978 (5 U.S.C. App.) is amended by adding at the end the
			 following new subsection:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H03931C0099464147AA46C3ACCADE2725" style="OLC">
				<subsection id="H26E7F97CD7094EB6B73AB3EA25652510"><enum>(h)</enum><header>Nomination of Inspector General To fill a vacancy</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If the President does not nominate an Inspector General pursuant to subsection (a) within 180 days
			 after a vacancy for the Inspector General, the individual serving as
			 interim Inspector General shall be deemed to be appointed under such
			 subsection, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate.</text>
