			 certain transfers used for educational purposes, and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="H85325D1FDF4F40699C402270C7C3051F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Exempting from manufacturer transparency reporting certain transfers used for educational purposes</header>
			<subsection id="H7FFF363C15014954B04DC10B95CACDF3"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1128G(e)(10)(B) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1320a–7h(e)(10)(B)) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H6286AB9598C845D7904E38DEF8A9C69D"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in clause (iii), by inserting <quote>, including peer-reviewed journals, journal reprints, journal supplements, and medical textbooks</quote> after <quote>patient use</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H83DBCF22F82146E5BCBE722ABB13BAC1"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new clause:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H4EDC8F00104E429CB07966F6628D7A29" style="OLC">
						<clause commented="no" id="H64B124353F2D4CB2851432A84AAA4245"><enum>(xiii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A transfer of anything of value to a covered recipient who is a physician if the thing of value is
			 intended solely for purposes of providing continuing medical education to
			 the physician.</text></clause><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H8C93836D02794DEF91A8212B1F470FDF"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendments made by this section shall apply with respect to transfers of value made on or after
			 the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
