		<section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HFC15FF71C9BF417E9DBF8D8A556F7BCD" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Assuring Quality Care for Veterans Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HBADACB3B2C1C480DA9A9C9BCA6B67945" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Improvement of continuing professional education reimbursement for health professionals employed by
			 the Department of Veterans Affairs</header>
			<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H9E145E52BF014279BB765D967F6FE077"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/7411">Section 7411</external-xref> of title 38, United States Code, is amended—</text>
				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HBA94B882771343099CC3E633676CB953"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>shall</quote> and inserting <quote>may</quote>;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H97ECD7FC14F64AD4B07675A2F726BDFF"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>board-certified physician or dentist appointed under section 7401(1) of this title</quote> and inserting <quote>health professional appointed under paragraph (1) or (3) of section 7401 of this title</quote>;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HB360E69C6E064F7FBF10C8E99D23E677"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>$1,000</quote> and inserting <quote>$1,600</quote>;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HC5FE4128A8714D7188C3FD2F5F07BE59"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by inserting <quote>required to maintain licensure</quote> after <quote>professional education</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H2E894ACC3AB44EFB9BB4A369776D2885"><enum>(5)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by adding at the end the following new sentence: <quote>No such health professional may receive reimbursement under this section and reimbursement for the
			 same expenses incurred for continuing professional education provided by a
			 Department medical center.</quote>.</text>

				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H777E79C27B17466B98AC69147F701D57"><enum>(1)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section heading</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The heading for such section is amended to read as follows:</text>

				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H55027EF1FFFB4313929306A182A46DC1"><enum>(2)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Table of sections</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 74 of such title is amended by striking the item
			 relating to section 7411 and inserting the following new item:</text>
