		<official-title>To amend title 38, United States Code, to improve the care provided by the Secretary of Veterans
			 Affairs to newborn children.</official-title>

		<section id="H9974865D3D624CB8B21E9815E64BA2FC" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Improvement of care provided to newborn children</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/1786">Section 1786</external-xref> of title 38, United States Code, is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="HA719839CE3994854AAF39DB6346C087D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (a), by striking <quote>seven days</quote> and inserting <quote>14 days</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HF59B80B2D24B4EDAAD68B23E5DCE4B36"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H9217BD1F8C6748D8963C1FE330883832" style="USC">
					<subsection id="H388BF1E54EC548C0AF92EDEEEAB3013E"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Annual report</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than October 31 of each year, the Secretary shall submit to the Committees on Veterans’
			 Affairs of the House of Representatives and the Senate a report on the
			 health care services provided under subsection (a) during the fiscal year
			 preceding the date of the report, including the number of newborn children
			 who received such services during such fiscal year.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
