		<section id="HDE78EDE01C5D4F2F9669667B4B49CFDA" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Expedited registration of pesticides for management of parasitic pests adversely impacting managed
			 pollinator bee health</header>
			<subsection id="H4A97731FB1C64C74949397A9C767E277"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Definition of managed pollinator bee</header><text>Section 2(o) of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/136">7 U.S.C. 136(o)</external-xref>) is
			 amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H6285F506A06C409C8CF548A8A5114980"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking <quote>The term</quote> and inserting the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H398DFFABC56748D186FC829D7998147C" style="OLC">
						<paragraph id="H41D28A2E60174AD08B75A6BD01DFB0DE"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H28725208B22848F4BEB7E0D2BD6720CD"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new paragraph:</text>
					<quoted-block id="H92C2C6D30CF44A2FB4C4EDA34855AADF" style="OLC">
						<paragraph id="H79C89E9280834D74A7850AD5F737F823"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Managed pollinator bee</header><text>The term <quote>managed pollinator bee</quote> means any bee that is raised and housed in a managed hive or other appropriate housing and used
			 for honey production, managed pollination of crops, or breeding for
			 commercial purposes.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HBB46570B55184BE7912FD0485DE73CB2"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Expedited registration of pesticides To improve managed pollinator bee health</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 3(c)(10) of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/136a">7 U.S.C. 136a(c)(10)</external-xref>)
			 is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H34B20E7D93E94DDF94651FA768544F06"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph (B), by adding at the end the following new clause:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H29E2470026A34E2EBBCB156AC1E6B133" style="OLC">
						<clause id="H78335951B19D4A32A70A2DF59CD69A3B"><enum>(v)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Improve managed pollinator bee health, including managing resistance to parasitic pests.</text></clause><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HED4CA2A089124EABAA5E068582C48959"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subparagraph:</text>
					<quoted-block id="H5F75B8E342D945B38EA58762F58A787C" style="OLC">
						<subparagraph id="H31454F15168C4B9A8EF7EF043C796696"><enum>(D)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">An application for registration or an amendment that is reasonably expected to improve the health
			 of managed pollinator bees, including managing resistance to parasitic
			 pests of managed pollinator bees, shall qualify for expedited review
			 according to subparagraph (B) pursuant to the applicable decision time
			 review period under section 33.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H19482CC233BA4D3E8555DBEC24FEA5AE"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Reports required</header>
				<paragraph id="H2A1313E86C2644EF8361DC40946FFC0C"><enum>(1)</enum><header>USDA report</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Agriculture
			 shall submit to the Committee on Agriculture of the House of
			 Representatives and the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry
			 of the Senate a report that addresses the extent and scope of the threat
			 to the health of managed pollinator bees from—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H0CD7A41CDF2E4D819EBC4A61B4889EA3"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">pathological factors, including the species of parasitic mite known as Varroa mite (Varroa
			 destructor), other arthropod pests, and fungal, microbial, and viral
			 diseases; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HDF42F7D3B5BB46B1BD96A0F6866738D0"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">environmental factors, including the habitat, forage, beekeeper practices and husbandry, and
			 nutritional needs of managed pollinator bees.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H30941109A6DE4BB5A3516EE989E06152"><enum>(2)</enum><header>EPA report</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator of the
			 Environmental Protection Agency shall submit to the Committee on
			 Agriculture of the House of Representatives and the Committee on
			 Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry of the Senate that details—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H962A47DA69DB4ED1ABD233FF03FEFBA9"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the availability of pesticides for management of parasitic pests that adversely impact the health
			 of managed pollinator bees, particularly including the Varroa mite (Varroa
			 destructor); and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HD87FE2FE705B4283904F1E946FE0D19E"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the efforts by the Environmental Protection Agency to expedite approvals of new products to control
			 parasitic pests of managed pollinator bees, including products to mitigate
			 resistance to products currently available.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HC143E757427746F6832B4C66168A92F7"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Definition of managed pollinator bee</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this subsection, the term <quote>managed pollinator bee</quote> means any bee that is raised and housed in a managed hive or other appropriate housing and used
			 for honey production, managed pollination of crops, or breeding for
			 commercial purposes.</text>
