		<official-title>To amend title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to require the EEOC to approve commencing or
			 intervening in certain litigation, and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="H49D8066DCB3C414C87ED57C1FF0AE7D3" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Litigation Oversight Act of 2014</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HD23D51EE981B434EBBF9686865965FBC"><enum>2.</enum><header>Approval of EEOC litigation commencement or intervention</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 705 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/2000e-4">42 U.S.C. 2000e–4</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the
			 following:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA486B474767F41B88FA62C2C2F8B1184" style="traditional">
				<subsection id="HDE561EC91C394AC1B3C34EC0AEA80FDE"><enum>(l)</enum>
					<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="HA89AC2AC465C46D5B142F07F6D124607"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Commission shall approve or disapprove by majority vote whether the Commission shall commence
			 or intervene in litigation involving multiple plaintiffs, or an allegation
			 of systemic discrimination or a pattern or practice of discrimination.</text>
					</paragraph><paragraph id="H0C51F691B82F4824AB49A5EE617E5C81" indent="up1"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A member of the Commission shall have the power to require the Commission to approve or disapprove
			 by majority vote whether the Commission shall commence or intervene in any
			 litigation.</text>
					</paragraph><paragraph id="H51991ED19E744EA4A174C0A4C7FA00A9" indent="up1"><enum>(3)</enum><text>Neither the Commission nor a member of the Commission may delegate the authority provided under
			 paragraph (1) or (2) to any other person.</text>
					</paragraph><paragraph id="HB2A25FBF3CEE4483B581CEEDE4ABF7DB" indent="up1"><enum>(4)</enum><text>Not later than 30 days after the Commission commences or intervenes in litigation pursuant to
			 approval under this subsection, the Commission shall post and maintain the
			 following information on its public website with respect to the
			 litigation:</text>
						<subparagraph id="H2308C6F80D654C68B982C7DD0CB252C8"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The court in which the case was brought.</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HC8B56C5481A44D1EA94748539E6952D1"><enum>(B)</enum><text>The name and case number of the case.</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HFBEC81D9BE0C44859EEC4BE8ECF5172B"><enum>(C)</enum><text>The nature of the allegation.</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H7D9D990C7C05425E81732150D4420C7E"><enum>(D)</enum><text>The causes of action brought.</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HE865EFBD8A514D658C1CFCD75CD35B32"><enum>(E)</enum><text>Each Commissioner’s vote on commencing or intervening in the litigation.</text>
						</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HFFD9A792BF664396A860E4E544ABE93B" indent="up1"><enum>(5)</enum><text>The Commission shall issue, in a manner consistent with section 713, procedural regulations to
			 carry out this subsection.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
