<official-title>To direct the Architect of the Capitol to place a chair on the grounds of the United States Capitol honoring American Prisoners of War/Missing in Action.</official-title>

<section id="H705B9F898B704FE8BBA46A24AF29AE4D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>National POW/MIA Remembrance Act of 2014</short-title></quote>. </text></section> 
<section id="H7BD10C45453A4D7881AE39610E3A7D49" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Findings</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Congress finds the following:</text> 
<paragraph id="H3604B93CA76045E3AFC8A7F64151EF63"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In recent years, commemorative chairs honoring American Prisoners of War/Missing in Action have been placed in prominent locations across the United States.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HDB6F2F60E81940FEB46EDFBF56FBB23C"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The grounds of the United States Capitol are an appropriate location to place a commemorative chair honoring American Prisoners of War/Missing in Action.</text></paragraph></section> 
<section id="H0F97607B46314C65B9A7D41F9CD7289A"><enum>3.</enum><header>Placement of a chair on grounds of United States Capitol honoring American prisoners of war/missing in action</header> 
<subsection id="H42D5D2CE250A4C61BA8DF8C93322A477"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Obtaining Chair</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Architect of the Capitol shall enter into an agreement to obtain a chair featuring the logo of the National League of POW/MIA Families under such terms and conditions as the Architect considers appropriate and consistent with applicable law.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HA23657F4CFF24D53B134536C288AF52F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Placement</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 2 years after the date of enactment of this Act, the Architect shall place the chair obtained under subsection (a) on the grounds of the United States Capitol in a suitable permanent location.</text></subsection></section> 
<section id="H9EDB182FF59C44929CAEBA2D478B7BF2"><enum>4.</enum><header>Funding</header> 
<subsection id="H3A3A89E4F75445A59344F1CFAEC1B6BD"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Donations</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Architect of the Capitol may—</text> 
<paragraph id="HC03087F8A0D046D8AD30A7DCD52D243D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>enter into an agreement with any organization described in <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/501">section 501(c)(3)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 that is exempt from taxation under section 501(a) of that Code to solicit private donations to carry out the purposes of this Act; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HEC5656786FF6403FA32D2AC89CE986CD"><enum>(2)</enum><text>accept donations of funds, property, and services to carry out the purposes of this Act.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H3350F94FE45A44B1A067B00527B51BAE"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Costs</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">All costs incurred in carrying out the purposes of this Act shall be paid for with private donations received under subsection (a).</text> </subsection></section>
