		<official-title>To prohibit foreign assistance to countries that do not prohibit shark finning in the territorial
			 waters of the country or the importation, sale, possession, or consumption
			 of shark fins obtained as a result of shark finning.</official-title>

		<section id="H85C892E51A5D4478A853C12B36DB34D2" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Justice Attributed to Wounded Sharks Act</short-title></quote> or <quote>JAWS Act</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HF7B3CC315A284053A3F38D40995B09FA"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on foreign assistance to countries that do not prohibit shark finning in the
			 territorial waters of the country or the importation, sale, possession, or
			 consumption of shark fins obtained as a result of shark finning</header>
			<subsection id="H57C7312B81BF41AE9AF629AFF3BC2D13"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">No funds available to any Federal department or agency may be used to provide assistance to a
			 country if the President determines that the country does not prohibit the
			 following:</text>
				<paragraph id="H0AEF9FF162EB4B2D8B7388A45E32766F"><enum>(1)</enum><text>Shark finning in the territorial waters of the country.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H0038C95594444F2EBD4BB27F7C43A257"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The importation, sale, possession, or consumption of shark fins obtained as a result of shark
			 finning.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HD7F3F83959314136AC66DD87D10921E3"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Definition</header><text>In this section, the term <term>shark finning</term> has the meaning given the term in section 9 of the Shark Finning Prohibition Act (16 U.S.C. 1822
			 note).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H4854804428054282A50257599F590992"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>This Act takes effect on the date of the enactment of this Act and applies with respect to funds
			 available to a Federal department or agency beginning on or after the date
			 that is 90 days after such date of enactment.</text>
