		<official-title>To direct the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a special resource study to determine the
			 suitability and feasibility of establishing the John P. Parker House in
			 Ripley, Ohio, as a unit of the National Park System.</official-title>

		<section id="HDFF9F1DC647E4DFBB948BAAB7AE05FAA" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>John P. Parker House Study Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HA5F5A003A5C944648DBE3DFE84625F13"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>
			<paragraph id="H1454AF53B7074E10A859D88CF51CF328"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The term <quote>Secretary</quote> means the Secretary of the Interior.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H8BBC0E488F9F4A4DB7FD2FF67E867FA9"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Study area</header><text>The term <quote>study area</quote> means the John P. Parker House in Ripley, Ohio, which was recognized as a National Historic
			 Landmark in 1997.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="HD88ACE78291D4F81B8355205A5C073AB"><enum>3.</enum><header>Special resource study of John P. Parker House</header>
			<subsection id="H49587E48CEFF4066B358A831DA4B4E47"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Study</header><text>The Secretary shall conduct a special resource study of the study area to determine the suitability
			 and feasibility of establishing the John P. Parker House in Ripley, Ohio,
			 as a unit of the National Park System.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HC9437A8FA6C5482B9A79807AF4FAB43F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Study requirements</header><text>The Secretary shall conduct the study in accordance with section 8 of the National Park System
			 General Authorities Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/1a">16 U.S.C. 1a–5</external-xref>).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H5BF018BF523442B3A3F90BA5899D2550"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Report</header><text>Not later than 3 years after the date on which funds are made available to carry out this Act, the
			 Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Natural Resources of the House
			 of Representatives and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of
			 the Senate a report that describes—</text>
				<paragraph id="H618B9DAF511C4BFB8B453C593802663D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the results of the study; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H39EC402EEA0F437CBCEB18E91F4F58AA"><enum>(2)</enum><text>any recommendations of the Secretary.</text>
