		<section id="H9CE63ED262E04338AFC9C8D5A44999D9" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission Reform Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H07E1DD25DBC14FE4B5A8CBE03860B238"><enum>2.</enum><header>Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial</header>
			<subsection id="H6EBB29E753194DB8A2ABBC6B9DB03E18"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Amendments</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 8162 of <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/106/79">Public Law 106–79</external-xref> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/40/8903">40 U.S.C. 8903</external-xref> note) is amended as follows:</text>
				<paragraph id="H99391D79E2F946489A1D6B43FAC9C587"><enum>(1)</enum><text>In subsection (c)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H02D0AD3BAF264EBCA126D173A8F7E7E5"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in paragraph (2) by striking <quote>Members of the Senate</quote> and inserting <quote>persons</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HA2F7342911774DDB83B7158551D80F0F"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in paragraph (3), by striking <quote>Members of the House of Representatives</quote> and inserting <quote>persons</quote>.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H813FCC0AA7094F7C81B36C1934DD7C2C"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">By redesignating subsections (f), (g), (h), (i), (j), (k), (l), (m), (n), (o), (p), and (q) as
			 subsections (g), (h), (i), (j), (k), (l), (m), (o), (p), (q), (r), and
			 (s), respectively.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H8F763CF9A54141B8B9C7FAAA54685F8C"><enum>(3)</enum><text>By inserting after subsection (e) the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H1CDEAB0D2BD747188F8E406B7F6CD42B" style="OLC">
						<subsection id="H8F6463A685BC454FB5B1C3CCF440B8FD"><enum>(f)</enum><header>Appointments</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Each appointment of a Commission member shall be made in consultation with the Eisenhower
			 Foundation, a section 501(c)(3) public foundation located in Abilene,
			 Kansas.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H720DF121156C4FA98709BA29EDCBA16C"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Commission termination; staff; records</header>
				<paragraph id="H1D9479B18F9542F996CDFC3562E5DA75"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Membership</header><text>The membership of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission in existence on the date of the
			 enactment of this Act shall terminate on the date of enactment of this
			 Act. New members of the Commission shall be appointed in accordance with
			 section 8162 of <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/106/79">Public Law 106–79</external-xref>, this Act, and the amendments made by
			 this Act.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HCE45FE28B133441B9DA4520FD833DB0A"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Staff</header><text>The Executive Director and the staff of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission in existence
			 on the date of enactment of this Act shall cease to be employed by the
			 Commission on the date that is 30 days after the date of enactment of this
			 Act.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H2394964ECE394CEF999D158942D47A70"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Records</header><text>Any records of the Commission in existence on the date that the staff is no longer employed by the
			 Commission under paragraph (2) shall be retained by the General Services
			 Administration or the Secretary of the Interior until such time as a new
			 Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission is appointed. The records of the
			 former Commission shall be transferred to the newly appointed Commission
			 as soon as possible.</text>
