		<official-title>To amend title 38, United States Code, to extend and expand the membership of the Advisory
			 Committee on Minority Veterans to include veterans who are lesbian, gay,
			 or bisexual and veterans who are transgender.</official-title>

		<section id="HE37D30F8CA3F47A89FAEDD75BFC5EF96" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Voices for Veterans Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H3617682E4E554BFFAF320D9F62695657"><enum>2.</enum><header>Extension and expansion of membership of the Advisory Committee on Minority Veterans to include
			 veterans who are lesbian, gay, or bisexual and veterans who are
			 transgender</header>
			<subsection id="HFAAEA962139343B2B82381D57F80456F"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Expansion of membership</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (a)(2)(A) of <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/544">section 544</external-xref> of title 38, United States Code, is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H330EDF485C7B4F3B88921FBAB7A675E7"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in clause (iv), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H055305CA8AEB4AC6A5E2432E8BC49D2E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in clause (v), by striking the period at the end and inserting <quote>; and</quote> ; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H6B93B1A2313D4782B30AD02D493D126E"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by inserting after clause (v) the following new clauses:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H2F10F186D3AE46B4B920DEC6637F4E1C" style="USC">
						<clause id="HA59AFEDB97414E8CAE610D61601AEFE8" indent="up2"><enum>(vi)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">veterans who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender.</text>
						</clause><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HFB1FF9F29E1D49A8A3F9A4C40567CD15"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Extension</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (e) of such section is amended by striking <quote>December 31, 2014</quote> and inserting <quote>December 31, 2017</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HD64A4306BFBD40D29BBDFA37478FAB10"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Clause (vi) of <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/544">section 544(a)(2)(A)</external-xref> of title 38, United States Code, shall apply to appointments
			 made on or after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
