		<official-title>To amend title 11 of the United States Code to stop abusive student loan collection practices in
			 bankruptcy cases.</official-title>

		<section id="H2256D03C24D34A4A94A176906D47C3CC" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Stopping Abusive Student Loan Collection Practices in Bankruptcy Act of 2014</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HA88B38D51E8940F59C6CB6EE29A64F2D"><enum>2.</enum><header>Amendment</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/11/523">Section 523(d)</external-xref> of title 11 of the United States Code is amended by striking <quote>of this section</quote> and inserting <quote>or the debtor requests a determination of the dischargeability of a debt based on undue hardship
			 under subsection (a)(8)</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H36CE60EED1514ACCB54C3E78B85B7881"><enum>3.</enum><header>Effective date; application of amendment</header>
			<subsection id="HF83C3E116C48414D839BE1EA4DB44E7B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>Except as provided in subsection (b), this Act and the amendment made by this Act shall take effect
			 on the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H9C8DBFA02D5641478D5AB2E2687743E8"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Application of amendment</header><text>The amendment made by this Act shall apply only with respect to cases commenced under title 11 of
			 the United States Code on or after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
